Ijeoma Thomas-Odia is a solid media and communication professional with a Bachelor of Science (B, Sc.) in Mass Communication from Imo State University. She has close to a decade of experience working as a journalist.
She is responsible for creating relevant news stories focused on entrepreneurship, personalities, and gender issues for The Guardian Woman. Ijeoma also anchors a weekly parenting column, educating parents through their journey.
Passionate about the plight of women and children, this has led her to work closely with advocates like the Women Advocates Research and Documentation Centre (WARDC), Echoes of Women in Africa (ECOWA), Heirs Women Foundation, and BAOBAB for Women’s Human Rights, to mention a few.
She is an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR) and sits on the board of HerAbility Hub, focused on career development of the girl child.
With the use of her pen, she is helping women-owned brands and initiatives gain media visibility.
Ijeoma is a wife and mother of two amazing children.
